Covering the West Midlands and Wales, including Cheshire, Wrexham, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Gwynedd, and Powys, Occupational Therapist Alison specialises in Paediatrics, Seating and Postural Management, Functional Rehabilitation, Moving and Handling, and Neurological Rehabilitation. She has extensive experience working with individuals with orthopaedic conditions, amputations, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, ataxia, and dyspraxia. Alison is dedicated to providing client-centred, holistic care, helping individuals maximise their independence and quality of life.
A registered Occupational Therapist with the HCPC and a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, Alison qualified from Coventry University in 2001 and brings over two decades of clinical experience in both adult and paediatric care. Her work with adults has included trauma, orthopaedic, and post-surgical rehabilitation, while her paediatric expertise covers assessments and interventions in both mainstream and specialist school settings. She has a particular interest in supporting individuals with complex physical and neurological conditions.
Alison is committed to ongoing professional development, ensuring her practice is informed by the latest research and best practices. She also holds a qualification as a moving and handling trainer, further enhancing her ability to support individuals with complex postural and mobility needs. Her approach focuses on enabling individuals to achieve their goals through personalised, evidence-based interventions.
