Carly is an experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in Housing and Equipment and Neurological Rehabilitation. She provides expert support across the South East of England, Essex, and East London, working with individuals who have a wide range of neurological and genetic conditions. Her expertise includes Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Spinal Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Huntington’s Disease, Anxiety Disorder, and Depression. Carly offers tailored interventions focusing on motivational interviewing, fatigue management, routine planning, daily living skills, fine motor skills, handwriting assessment and treatment, visual perception, co-ordination, self-care, and mental health support.
A HCPC-registered and RCOT-member Occupational Therapist, Carly originally trained in Australia, graduating from the University of Sydney in 2011. She worked extensively in vocational rehabilitation and mental health services before relocating to the UK in 2016. With a decade and a half of experience spanning both the public and private sectors, she has developed a strong background in mental health services and neurorehabilitation.
Carly has a particular interest in functional upper limb rehabilitation, incorporating aids, adaptations, and postural management strategies to optimise function and participation. She is committed to evidence-based practice, regularly engaging in professional development and research to enhance her clinical skills.
