Sara

Sara is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in Housing and Equipment, Seating and Postural Management, Functional Rehabilitation, and Moving and Handling. Covering Wales and North West England, she works with a wide range of conditions, including orthopaedic and trauma-related injuries, neurological conditions such as Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Huntington’s Disease, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s. Her expertise extends to daily living skills, community access, mobility assessments, DFG assessments, Blue Badge assessments, and complex moving and handling needs.

With over three decades of clinical experience, Sara has worked across both public and private sectors, supporting adults, older people, and paediatric clients in health and social care settings. She has extensive experience in equipment and adaptation services, specialising in the assessment and provision of specialist equipment, complex home adaptations, and seating solutions. She is adept at recommending major adaptation works to create safe and accessible environments tailored to individual needs.

Sara takes a functional rehabilitation approach, aiming to maximise an individual’s occupational performance while also considering compensatory strategies, including alternative techniques, assistive technology, and home automation to enhance independence. In 2017, she completed an MSc in Assistive Technology, further strengthening her expertise in this field.

Committed to professional development, Sara actively engages in conferences, seminars, and training, ensuring her knowledge remains current. She also holds a teaching qualification and has designed and delivered training courses both locally and nationally.
