Jo

Jo is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in Neurological Rehabilitation. She also has expertise in Seating and Postural Management, Functional Rehabilitation, Moving and Handling, and Hand Therapy. Working across Buckinghamshire, West Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, and East Berkshire, Jo supports adults with a wide range of conditions. Her expertise includes rehabilitation for individuals living with Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, and Spinal Injury.

Since qualifying from the London School of Occupational Therapy in 1988, Jo has built a career marked by continuous professional growth in both NHS and private practice roles. She has worked at a clinical expert level since 1989, focusing on adult neurological rehabilitation, rheumatology, orthopaedics, and hand therapy. Jo specialises in supporting clients with physical and cognitive difficulties arising from long-term neurological or rheumatological conditions, as well as those recovering from complex or multiple injuries. Her practice emphasises tailored interventions for pain and fatigue management, alongside advice and education to promote wellbeing and independence.

In addition to clinical work, Jo is a qualified teacher, using her expertise to train undergraduate and postgraduate health professionals, as well as clients and families. With several years of experience as a Moving and Handling Trainer and Risk Assessor, Jo combines practical knowledge with a passion for education to improve outcomes for all those she supports.
