Based in North West England and North Wales, Lister is an experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in Moving and Handling, Functional Rehabilitation, and Housing and Equipment. She works with a wide range of conditions, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Brain Injury, Spinal Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Learning Difficulties, Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Huntington's Disease, Dementia, Alzheimer's, Stroke, and Anxiety Disorder.
Lister’s areas of expertise include Fatigue Management, Pain Management, Daily Living Skills, Community Access, Gross Motor Skills, and Behaviour Management. She is skilled in assessing and promoting independence in daily activities, conducting home environment assessments, and recommending appropriate assistive devices. Lister also implements Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Anxiety Management and provides therapeutic support for a variety of neurological, musculoskeletal, and mental health conditions.
Lister qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2001 from the Medical School of the University of Zimbabwe. In 2016, she completed a Master’s postgraduate module at Coventry University, focusing on the neural control of human behaviour. Lister is a state-registered Occupational Therapist, First Contact Practitioner Accredited, and a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists. She is committed to continuous professional development and recently collaborated with colleagues on a presentation for the Occupational Therapy Annual Conference 2024.
