Kirstie is an experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in Housing and Equipment, Moving and Handling, and supporting individuals with disabilities. Based in Scotland and covering North East England, she works with adults and children experiencing a wide range of conditions, including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Spinal Injuries, Cardiac and Respiratory Conditions, and Palliative Needs. Her practice focuses on providing tailored assessments and interventions within home environments to maximise independence and improve quality of life.
Kirstie graduated from Queen Margaret College in Edinburgh in 1991 and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. With over three decades of clinical experience in local authority settings across Scotland, she is a skilled assessor of functional ability, particularly in home settings. She has significant expertise in recommending equipment and adaptations, from minor adjustments to major housing adaptations, ensuring environments meet both current and long-term needs.
