Sharon

Sharon is an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist based in London, specialising in Housing and Equipment and Functional Rehabilitation. She works with individuals with Dementia, Cognitive Deficits, Psychosis, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Schizophrenia. Graduating from London South Bank University in 2009, Sharon's career has been rooted in the NHS, where she has worked closely with local authorities and integrated social care teams.

Sharon’s expertise spans forensic and older adult mental health, falls prevention, and community rehabilitation for working-age adults with mental health conditions. She is highly skilled in conducting functional assessments and using task analysis to evaluate individuals’ capabilities, ensuring that her client-centred treatment plans optimise functional independence. Her focus on mitigating environmental risks, particularly fall risks in the home, and recommending suitable adaptations enhances the quality of life for her clients.

Sharon’s role also provides expert occupational therapy reports for solicitors on complex cases involving falls, amputation, cognitive impairment, and medical negligence claims. Her comprehensive reports, grounded in detailed assessments and analysis of medical information, provide vital insights into care needs and future care recommendations.
