Liz is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in Neurological Rehabilitation, with experience in Moving and Handling, Functional Rehabilitation and Vocational Rehab. Primarily covering Cornwall, offering expert care for clients with stroke and neurological conditions, including Acquired Brain Injuries, Spinal Cord Injuries, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, and other conditions affecting the brain or spinal cord. Liz also supports adults with physical disabilities and long-term conditions, providing comprehensive, client-centred assessments and rehabilitation services.

In her practice, Liz emphasises holistic, client-centred assessments that help individuals identify their goals and increase their engagement in meaningful activities, ultimately enhancing their potential and quality of life. Liz collaborates closely with clients to develop, implement, and review personalised rehabilitation plans.

Liz qualified from St Loye’s School of Occupational Therapy in Exeter in 2000 and has accumulated over two decades of extensive clinical and managerial experience across various settings, including acute hospitals, rehabilitation units, and community specialist stroke and neurological services.

Beyond her clinical work, Liz is passionate about education and research. She supports the education and training of carers and wider services and serves as an honorary lecturer at the University of Plymouth. She leads the Kernow CAPHR initiative, promoting research among Cornish Allied Health Professionals, and has completed a Master’s in Clinical Research. Liz has also been a principal investigator in several research studies, including the FASE study, Recreate, OCS, and MS REFUEL trials.
