Working across Hampshire, Stefanie is an experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in Paediatrics with additional training in Sensory Integration. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of conditions, including Personality Disorders, Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Psychosis, Sensory Processing and Integration Difficulties, Behavioral Difficulties, as well as Neurodiverse Conditions such as Autism and ADHD in both adults and children.
Stefanie has worked in acute hospitals, rehabilitation settings, child and adolescent mental health services, and SEN schools. She has completed advanced training in administering the ADOS-2 for all ages and the Autism 'Train the Trainer' course for children and young people at South Maudsley Hospital. Her additional training includes Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Essential Skills and a Yoga as Therapy course.
Stefanie employs a holistic and functional approach to recovery, empowering individuals to build self-efficacy and maintain their well-being from crisis through to discharge and beyond. She has frequently provided mobility assessments and prescribed equipment in mental health settings, adapting to evolving patient dynamics and bed shortages.
Throughout her career, Stefanie has taken on significant responsibilities, including serving as a safeguarding lead, supervising junior staff, and mentoring university and OT apprenticeship students. She is a HCPC-registered and a dedicated member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists. Stefanie remains committed to ongoing professional development and adheres to the ethical guidelines and standards set by the organisation.
