Kieran

Kieran is an experienced OT offering hand therapy and housing & equipment assessments. Kieran possesses advanced skills in pain management, fine motor skills, and splinting. Covering Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, Lancashire, Bradford, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, and Wakefield, Kieran has garnered extensive experience addressing a spectrum of hand conditions. These include Osteoarthritis, Joint Replacements, Joint Fusions, Trigger Finger, Dupuytren's contracture, Conservative and Operatively managed fractures, Flexor and Extensor Tendon injuries, Dislocations, Nailbed injuries, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. His specialisms encompass splinting, wound care, joint protection, hand rehabilitation, scar management, and desensitization, allowing Kieran to provide targeted occupational therapy support across diverse regions. Kieran also works with The OT Practice on housing and equipment assessments and support for several specialisms that as an OT he has worked in extensively since qualifying. These include Palliative Care, Trauma Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology, Cardiology. He has experience with Paraplegia, Stroke (Cerebrovascular Accident), transient ischemic attack (TIA) Dementia, Acute Kidney Injury (AKI)/Renal failure, Myocardial Infarction, and has supported with challenges relating to Mobility, falls, Daily living skills, Fatigue, balance, attention span, and memory. Kieran is expert in being able to clinically reason the recommendations he makes, to ensure each individual thoroughly understands why certain treatments may be of benefit to them.
