Kate

Kate – an experienced OT operating in West, South and North Yorkshire – provides Seating and Postural Management and Functional Rehabilitation, both to adults and children. Kate offers person-centred care in her flexible approach to assessments, interventions and discharge planning. Kate is familiar with Cerebral Palsy, Downs syndrome, Development Delay, Self-Care, Equipment and Adaptations (minor and major).

She has worked in a variety of clinical areas developing her skills in assessment and promoting safe independence and improving quality of living. Experience of discharge planning has made her respectful of the diverse cultural, social and emotional needs of clients. Kate also provides short-term interventions in schools while liaising with the wider MDT. This has provided her with a broad range of practical experience, the skills and the confidence needed to adapt her practice to suit the appropriate setting and client needs. Kate recognises the importance of locally based healthcare and is committed to the rehabilitation process, ensuring every possible avenue is exhausted to ensure her clients receive the very best care.
