Janet works Birmingham in the West Midlands as an Occupational Therapist specialising in Housing, and Postural Management, Vocational Rehabilitation, Minor & Major Adaptations, Manual Handling, Seating, Hand Therapy, Splinting and Single-handed care. She is experienced in Neurology, Musculoskeletal conditions, Learning Disability; Auto Immune Diseases, Congenital Disorders, Sight and Hearing loss, Fatigue, Anxiety, Pain and Psychosomatic Presentation.
Janet qualified in 1991 as an OT but her other work have included, for example, research as part of the government Pathways to Work project, work design and ergonomic evaluations for industrial employers and the Civil Service in order to enhance safety and productivity in the workplace. Notably, she was one of the first practitioners in the UK to develop this kind of service and her work has been published in Occupational Therapy News. Additionally, Janet undertook a Masters’ degree in Work Design and Ergonomics (2001) and then went on to specialise further in Occupational Therapy in Occupational Health.
