Elisha

Working across Wales, Elisha is a highly skilled Occupational Therapist specialising in Housing and Equipment, Moving and Handling, and Seating and Postural Management. With over a decade of experience, she has developed a strong focus on long-term and palliative care and has worked extensively with a diverse range of conditions, including various cancer diagnoses, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s Disease. Her expertise encompasses long-term palliative conditions and emphasises housing and equipment provision, complex moving and handling needs, specialist seating assessments, and postural management.

Elisha collaborates closely with clients and their families to develop tailored intervention plans that promote comfort and functionality in everyday life. She is adept at recommending major adaptations, such as level access showers and stair lifts, to enhance clients' independence and quality of life while also addressing fatigue and anxiety management.

Elisha’s effective communication skills are particularly valuable when working with individuals and caregivers facing distressing situations and difficult prognoses. She utilises a variety of communication techniques and aids, including eye gaze systems, to ensure that all clients can express their needs effectively.

Passionate about ongoing professional development, Elisha continually seeks opportunities to enhance her knowledge and skills. She is a registered member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists (BAOT) and is also registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), ensuring she adheres to the highest standards of practice in her field.
