Cheryle is a professional and experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for helping patients achieve their maximum potential. She specialises in the field of adults with physical disabilities and elderly care having developed her expertise across many different settings including rehabilitation, housing, adaptations, community, discharge planning, older people, elective and trauma orthopaedics, and acute hospital settings. Cheryle is based in Bromley and visits clients across London.
Utilising her community experience, Cheryle provides assessments within the client’s home covering activities of daily living, manual handling, cognitive needs, and equipment needs to maximise the patient's independence and safety. During the COVID-19 pandemic she also worked at the London Nightingale Hospital and as a Specialist Discharge OT in hubs across East London.
Cheryle has developed her professional capabilities through practical experience, ongoing professional development, training courses and supervision. This has helped to develop quality assessment techniques and expert clinical reasoning which is necessary when treating patients with complex needs and when liaising with their family and wider agencies.
